Spend 24 Hours in Tokyo With Me
In 2019 just before the start of the pandemic, we went on a trip across Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Thailand. In the last leg of our trip before returning to Canada, we spent our layover in Tokyo, once of the most vibrant and bustling cities in Eastern Asia. Though we didn't get much sleep, we were able to enjoy a nice all you can eat A5 wagyu meal at Rokkasen, a morning stroll through Toyosu fish market, see a display of lights at Teamlabs, and end the day with a nice meal in a local neighborhood joint.
Locations we visited:
1. Rokkasen Yakiniku Restaurant (rokkasen.co.jp/?)
2. teamLAB Borderless Tokyo (www.teamlab.art/e/borderless-azabudai/)
3. Toyosu Fish Market (www.japan-guide.com/e/e3013_market.html)

We embark on a 700km journey around the outskirts of Chiang Mai, on the famous Mae Hong Son loop. The route is scenic and filled with exciting adventures. Little towns and villages dot the pathway from start to finish. Despite it's appeal, it is also notorious for motorcycle accidents. We witnessed a number of riders with road rashes on the way. On this first day, we make a stop at Doi Inthanon...

      In high school, I didn't really have much of a study schedule. I mainly just studied after dinner between 7-11, which included doing homework, projects, and readings for the day after. This wasn't everyday. Some days I just gamed or spent time with family or friends.

    Hey! How do the small groups work? Like how do you meet, how you plan your studies and sessions together? I've heard that it's good to make groups to study less/more efficiently but I've never done that.

    • @HediZhao
      @HediZhao 2 роки тому

      Hey, these small groups in the video are officially organized and part of the curriculum. It’s essentially a component of our course, so there’s specific times and dates for us to attend. You can also study in “small groups”, which you would just organize on your own time with your peers at a library or cafe. Efficiency with this method depends on your studying style.

    How is your French level? asking cause I'd like to know how much French do we need for studying med at McGill ( at the hospital)? Thanks if you reply :)

    • @HediZhao
      @HediZhao 2 роки тому

      Hey, I believe the policy changed recently, so it would be a good idea to look into what the requirements are prior to applying. However, when I started medicine there was no strict requirement for french proficiency. I wasn't very good a french but took a few classes in my first and second years, which helped a lot. I'm able to have basic conversations with patients and ask the necessary medical information. I would recommend having at least B1 level french to facilitate your learning and also for the safety of the patients, so that you get the correct information.
